Kindergarten Registration

If your child turns 5 years old on or before September 30, 2012, he/she is eligible to enroll in kindergarten.  It is important that we know how many kindergarten students we will have when school begins in August.  We need to make sure we have adequate materials and supplies.

Kindergarten registration at Russellville Elementary will be on the following dates and times.

            Monday, April 16^th --- 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 18^th --- 9:00 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m.

            Monday, April 23^rd --- 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Kindergarten physicals will be available 2 of the 3 registration days.  Please go to the school nurse’s page for further information.

You will need to bring the following items to registration:

     Child’s birth certificate

    Child’s immunization record

    Child’s social security card

    Custody papers (if applicable)

    Proof of residency (for example: copy of utility bill, lease / rental agreement).

Rice for Haiti’s Children Fundraiser

            Thank you students and parents for your donations during this fundraiser.

Russellville Elementary raised money to send to Haiti with two Eastern alumni girls who are going there on a mission trip.  Their goal was to raise money to purchase rice to help feed the hungry children.  The following list is a breakdown of the donations that we received during the five days of the fundraiser campaign.

            Monday – 1/9/2012                $88.00 in pennies

            Tuesday –1/10/2012               $114.00 nickels

            Wednesday – 1/11/2012         $268.00 dimes

            Thursday – 1/12/2012            $250.00 quarters

            Tuesday  -- 1/17/2012            $152.00   Do Your Best Day.

            Total $ to purchase rice       $872.00
