Welcome back to an exciting year! Thank you for your support at home ensuring your child is ready to learn every day here at Russellville Elementary.
I want to formally introduce myself to you as the Russellville Elementary principal and let you know about my background. I am a graduate of Eastern High School and have lived in the district nearly all of my life. I reside near Decatur on a cattle farm with my husband and two children. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. I later received my first Master’s in Teaching and Learning from Marygrove College. After teaching Kindergarten, first, and second grade for six years at Western Brown Local School District, I accepted a role as a literacy coach. I loved working with teachers and decided to pursue my administrative license. I attended the University of Dayton and received my Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership and my principal’s license. I stayed in the coaching role and assumed district administrative responsibilities until the fall of 2012 when I accepted a role as a Student Growth Measure Specialist and later as the Ohio Student Growth Measure Coordinator with the Ohio Department of Education. I spent two years working with regions and districts all over Ohio providing training and technical assistance as they implemented the new Ohio Teacher Evaluation System.
I am very excited to serve you as the principal at Russellville Elementary! I want Russellville Elementary to continue to be a nurturing, safe, inviting school for students, staff, parents, and community members. Russellville Elementary will continue to be a great place to learn, work, and to send children. My vision is “All means All”. What is best for students will be the basis for every decision and we will not settle for less than meeting the needs of each and every student.
I want to thank you for your continued support of the school and district. I want you to know that I am at your service and to let me know if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions.
