Congratulations to Kara Overstake and Karlee Buckamneer
Congratulations to Kara Overstake and Karlee Buckamneer, members of the Eastern High School choir directed by Mrs. Lori Baldridge, on being selected to participate in the 2014 All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir. The Choir meets for five days ...of intensive rehearsals preceding the Ohio State Fair and performs 6-8 concerts every day of the Fair, which runs from July 23 through August 3. In addition to rehearsals and performance, the youth learn about vocal health and have the opportunity to build relationships that, for many Choir alumni, last a lifetime.

Washington DC Trip

Fifth grade teachers at Russellville Elementary have begun planning for the 5th/6th grade district-wide Washington DC Trip, which is scheduled for June 2-5, 2014. This will be a family-fun packed and educational trip with stops at the Capital Building, the Old Post Office, Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian and Mall area, as well as seeing the White House with their own eyes. One of the highlights of the trip is always George Washington’s home, Mt. Vernon. (Yes, George really had wooden teeth!)
